In this post, we’ll show you how to make a heart box—perfect for gifts, decor, or keepsakes! Using our free template, you’ll be able to create a beautiful paper heart box easily and fast, even if you’re new to crafting. This simple tutorial will guide you step-by-step, so you can make a unique and personal gift box in no time. Let’s get started!

Supplies

You will only need a few things for this craft and you will most likely have all of these supplies at home already.

You will need:

Step 1: Print the Template

You can download the template using this link.

Print the template on some red paper.

The dotted lines are the glue taps that will later be used to glue the walls of the heart box in place.

Step 2: Cut the Template Out

Cut the template out as cleanly as possible. Cut around the solid lines and the dotted lines.

One of the pairs of hearts is slightly bigger than the other. One will be the top of the box and the other will be the bottom.

Step 3: Assemble the Box

Fold the glue tabs along the solid lines and start gluing the tabs to the heart shape.

Follow the outline of the heart as closely as possible.

There will be a small piece missing that needs to be filled in with a small piece of extra wall. Glue the wall piece on the inside of the heart box part.

Choose one of the loose hearts to glue inside the box, you just glued together. Try both loose hearts to see which one fits.

Repeat the whole process for the second half of the heart box.

And with that, you are done!

You can print the template bigger to make bigger boxes or with differently colored paper.
